Bucket Elevators

Bucket elevator solutions for controlled vertical conveying of dust, granules, and bulk materials. Hantech Filter evaluates material properties, target capacity, line geometry, drive, wear, sealing, and maintenance access together within the same transport system.

Cement, raw meal, mineral, grain, and granule conveying
Belt or chain bucket elevator selection
Feed, discharge, and return-side checks
Capacity calculation based on bucket shape, line speed, and material density
Head/tail station, tensioning, gearbox, and maintenance access
Global technical approach

Elevator selection is based on capacity, lifting height, and material behavior

A bucket elevator is more than just a vertical conveying housing. Feed method, bucket fill level, speed, belt/chain, discharge geometry, and explosion/dust risk are all evaluated within the same system.

Hantech Filter Elevators technical product selection

Elevators decision criteria

Product selection is made by evaluating site data, process risk, maintenance access, and operating cost together.

Information to be clarified before quotation

  • Material name, bulk density, particle size, and moisture
  • Required ton/hour capacity and operating regime
  • Feed elevation, discharge elevation, and total height
  • Temperature, abrasiveness, and combustible dust information
  • Existing motor-gearbox, speed, and failure history

Capability

Bucket volume, bucket spacing, line speed, fill ratio, and material density determine the actual conveying capacity.

Free lift height

Total elevation difference, head/tail station layout, service area, and backflow risk affect the drive selection.

Strap / chain

Belt-driven or chain-driven construction is selected based on temperature, abrasiveness, particle size, and impact load.

Secuirty

Speed sensor, slip monitoring, blockage control, backstop, and explosion risk are engineered according to the application.

Product / application comparison

Technical check matrix

This list is not a “success percentage”; it shows the design variables we always verify during quotation and site survey. Product selection is not finalized until every item has been correctly measured.

Capacity calculationCritical check

Maintenance accessCritical check

Risks we check on site

  • Incorrect capacity or high pressure loss
  • Wear, corrosion, leakage, and service access
  • Short service life due to incorrect material/media selection
  • Mismatch between air equipment, ducting, filter, and discharge equipment
  • Planned downtime and commissioning verification

What we evaluate together during the quotation process

Material name and bulk density, ton/hour capacity, particle size, moisture, temperature, line length, incline/elevation difference, operating duration, and connected equipment are all evaluated together.

Capacity and operating regime

Nominal/peak tons per hour, daily operating time, and feed continuity are calculated together.

Material and line geometry

Bulk density, particle size, moisture, abrasiveness, line length, and elevation difference determine the equipment type.

Drive, safety, and maintenance

Motor-gearbox, sensors, guards, service covers, and planned maintenance access are defined from the outset.
